New colours flood the floor -posted December 11
Thursday,
December 11
marked the first test of the new season, and it was the biggest ever.
It was a treat to see adults and juniors testing together. We are a
family and it was great to have everyone there to support one another.
It's a beautiful scene to see new colours flood the floor.

Our Golden Girls -posted December 7
On November 28th, 2009, both
Jordan and Kiran competed at The Golden Girl Open Karate Tournament,
hosted by Bushido-Kai Canada. This was a tournament put on exclusively
for female competitors.
This particular tournament had sparring matches at 3 minutes or 8-point
spread (win by 8 points). This resulted in both girls getting two very
challenging matches each. Both girls' matches went full time, with
Jordan having two matches going to overtime. Jordan won her last match
in the overtime round. Mr. B received many comments on Kiran's martial
spirit. She also had two hard fought matches, each match against much
bigger opponents.
We look forward to the new year where we plan to bring the whole club to TK Taekwondo's tournament in Selkirk, Manitoba.

Saturday, October 24th marked the
first time that the Academy has had anyone compete in point sparring. We had one adult and seven kids compete.

students for training hard and doing an awesome job in the competition:
Mr. Kevin, Mr. Tyrese, Ms. Jordan, Mr. Noah, Mr. Drew, Mr. Lee, Mr.
Ethan, and Mr. Matthew.
An extra congratulations to Mr. Ethan for earning himself a second place.
